Pre-School/Junior/Senior Kindergarten, Grades 1 to 8
Kanata Academy offers full-day sessions, five days per week, for Junior and Senior Kindergarten children and Grades 1 through 8. The hours are from 9:00 am. until 3:15 pm. Flexible hours and pro-rated fees are available for Pre-school.
After School Tutorials and Extended Hours
Extended hours are available before school from 7:30 am - 9:00 am, and after school from 3:15 pm - 5:30 pm. After school tutorials are also available.

An Invitation to the Love of Learning
The warm nurturing atmosphere of Pre-School at Kanata Academy entices children to participate in the joy of discovery and opens the doors to learning. Within a safe environment, our enthusiastic staff will read, play, and sing songs with your child, as well as offer a variety of arts and craft projects.
Primary: Kindergarten to Grade 2
A Time for Exploration
Children develop an academic foundation for future learning. Accent is placed on the rudiments of reading and math concepts. Through the principles of social interaction, students learn the values of sharing and respect. The day includes a balance of active and educational components where your child can have fun and be challenged.
Junior: Grades 3 to 6
Expanding the Field of Learning
Exploration with hands-on activities re-inforces the basic concepts of academics. Children broaden their knowledge through experiences such as field trips and guest speakers. Your elementary-age child can celebrate his or her individual creative expression through music, art, drama and languages. Children are introduced to extra-curricular activities that may include, chess, bridge, fencing, horse riding, skiing and piano.
Intermediate: Grades 7 and 8
The Foundation of Academic Success
Students are taught the necessary skills for success, including, time management, organization, independent study, and research. Your child will participate in term subject examinations and University of Waterloo, Pascal and Gauss math competitions. Students also attend Queen’s University to participate in the “Seeds in Residence” program. Kanata Academy provides students with leadership experience, builds lasting friendships and offers an environment where they learn the importance of responsibility and accountability.
